Hi, I’m Micah
Thanks for being here.
I know how busy life can get, so the fact that you’re taking time to read my story means a lot. My work as an artist is deeply personal, and I created this space not just to share what I make, but to build something bigger. I want to create a community of people who see beauty in the imperfect, the messy, and the in-between.
I was born in California, but home never stayed in one place. When I was 12, my parents started a nonprofit and moved us to Thailand. That transition hit me hard. The sudden shift in culture, language, and environment left me feeling unsettled. I didn’t feel like I fit in, and over time, I started putting on different masks just to get by. I didn’t have many close friends, and I spent a lot of time alone. I felt disconnected and unsure of who I was.
One Christmas, I asked for art supplies. I don’t know why, I just felt drawn to it. When I finally got them, I couldn’t stop painting. I played, experimented, and for the first time in a while, I felt free. My dad used to sketch these incredible worlds, landscapes full of strange creatures and quiet people. I remember thinking, I want to walk around inside those drawings. I think I’ve been chasing that feeling ever since.
My approach to art is always evolving, but there’s one belief that has stayed with me:
There’s no such thing as perfect. Beauty lives in the imperfections.
I’ve never been one for rigid technique. I learn best through trial and error. I admire people who show up and do the work, not because it’s easy, but because it means something to them. That’s what art is to me: repetition, risk, curiosity, and care. I love simplicity. I love organized chaos. I love when things fall apart just enough to reveal something honest.
I’m not here to present a polished version of who I am. I’m a working artist who has spent years figuring things out the hard way. I’m just beginning to share my work in a bigger way and connect with my community.
If you’re looking for a place to explore your creativity, I’d love to invite you to book a creative art experience with me. Whether you’ve painted for years or have never picked up a brush, there’s space for you here. And if something in my story resonates, or if you want to collaborate, share your own experience, or just talk, I’d truly love to hear from you.
